ABOUT DIVORCECARE:
Divorce Care is a ministry designed to be help and support for those who have experienced separation and/or divorce.
Our class dates have not yet been determined for 2024, but the group will meet on Monday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 pm in a comfortable room just inside the front entrance of the Eastside Church of Christ building. There is no charge for the meetings, only a $20, one-time amount that provides the accompanying workbook. (If you cannot afford this, then the workbook will be provided at no charge)
The first half of the meeting time will consist of a video covering a topic relevant to the separation/divorce experience, such as anger, loneliness, depression, financial survival, finding emotional healing, etc. The second half of each meeting will be discussion of the video, and/or sharing from whoever may want to share his/her thoughts, feelings, etc.
All of discussions are VOLUNTARY and CONFIDENTIAL.
DivorceCare is a place where you can come and pour out your story, or simply sit and listen, or something in between. It's up to you.
CHILDCARE IS PROVIDED (just let us know in advance)
Whether you have experienced separation and/or divorce in the past or are going through it presently, join us as together as we find help, hope, and healing.
ABOUT the facilitator:
Jon Smith is the facilitator of Eastside's DivoceCare (and also the minister of the Eastside church). He knows the pain and heartache of dealing with divorce, having experienced it himself in 2003. His wife Andrea Smith also experienced the hurt and pain of divorce long before Jon and Andrea met. These experiences gave them a heart for helping others who have or are going through this difficult experience. Jon has facilitated DivorceCare groups in Wilkesboro, NC and in Sherman, TX before moving to Terre Haute, IN in 2022.
